Trekking: Supported Walking in
Some of the World's Great Places

After over 50 years of backpacking, Charlie Schulz has become a convert to supported walks or what is sometimes referred to as “trekking”. Over the past seven years Charlie has trekked in many parts of the world. In this presentation he will provide pictures and stories that will cover his adventures while trekking in places like the Cordillera Huayhuash in Peru, the Pyrenees on the border of France and Spain, numerous routes in the Alps, and a trek last Fall in Tibet to the advanced base camp on Cho Oyu

Charlie has been a member of the AMC for about 4 years. He has completed the basic, anchors and lead climbing classes. His primary climbing interest has been mountaineering and he has successfully summited the Breithorn and Mettelhorn in the Alps; Longs Peak and Mt Elbert in Colorado; the Pfeifferhorn in the Wasatch Mountains; Mt Hood and Mt Rainier in the northwest USA; and Iztaccihuatl in Mexico.

See you at the Monday, July 28th 7:00 p.m. meeting! Remember it is at Phoenix Country Day School 3901 E. Stanford Drive P.V. 85253. It is between Lincoln and Camelback.
